Job Description
HGV Technician / Mechanic – Workshop Based (with Company Van)
Day shifts // Monday to Friday
40 hours per week
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful family-run transport company, who are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic to join their dedicated team.
This is a workshop-based position with occasional call-outs, offering long-term stability, excellent facilities, and the chance to work within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance of HGVs
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
* Identifying potential issues and carrying out preventative maintenance
* Replacing parts and ensuring all repairs meet safety standards
* Recording all work carried out in line with company procedures
* Ensuring workshop and equipment are kept clean and safe
* Working both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
Requirements
* Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic or in a similar role
* Strong technical knowledge of HGV systems and components
* Diagnostic and fault-finding skills (including use of computerised tools)
* Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication skills
Hours of Work
* Monday to Friday
* 7:00am – 4:00pm
