Job Description

Our client, a reputable and long-established commercial vehicle dealership in Nottingham, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their busy workshop team. Friendly, professional team environmentDuties of a HGV Technician:

Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults accurately
Complete vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and perform necessary adjustments
Complete all workshop documentation and job cards diligently
Attend manufacturer training courses to enhance technical expertise
Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity and quality targets
Maintain high standards of workmanship, attention to detail, and safety complianceRequirements of a HGV Technician:

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI, BTEC or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Proven experience within a commercial vehicle workshop environment
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Positive, proactive attitude with enthusiasm and motivation
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential
