Job Description

HLTA - Full Time Primary School Role

Sheffield
Immediate Start Available
Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 3:30pm

A primary school in Sheffield is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is due to start immediately and will involve working across different primary year groups to provide class cover when teachers are absent.

The successful candidate will be confident delivering lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils to stay engaged and on task throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a recognised HLTA qualification at Level 4 or above
Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
Be comfortable leading whole-class sessions independently
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Be adaptable and able to work across a range of age groupsThis opportunity could also suit a qualified teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a varied role within a supportive school environment.
