Hub Enablement Worker
Salary: £15.66 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role
The Hub Enablement Worker plays a key role in delivering high-quality day opportunities, both in community hubs and through outreach in local areas. You will work directly with adults, including those with complex needs, to support their personal care, promote independence, and help them achieve their individual outcomes. This includes delivering a range of meaningful activities, encouraging participation, and ensuring each person’s dignity and wellbeing are respected at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a range of assistance and support in response to the personal, physical, and emotional needs of people, ensuring dignity and sensitivity to age, disability, sexuality, gender, and cultural origin, as described in care plans.
Support individuals within a risk management framework and escalate risks or unresolved difficulties.
Contribute to care plans through effective consultation with service users, carers, specialist workers, and relevant agencies.
Comply with departmental health and safety policies and understand individual responsibilities regarding legal requirements.
Follow departmental practice guidance, policies, and procedures.
Deliver a wide range of daily activities and support in line with care plans and quality assurance frameworks.
Work with people on a 1:1 basis or in groups, either at a base or within the community.
Promote, develop, and maintain independence for service users while helping them achieve their outcomes.
Contribute to ongoing review and monitoring of care plans and risk assessments to maintain quality standards.
Use equipment as directed by care plans (following appropriate training) and assist with moving people and inanimate objects.
Respond appropriately to crises and emergencies, reporting incidents promptly.
Engage in staff meetings, training, and performance development for day opportunities services.
Maintain confidentiality in line with County Council policy and relevant legislation.
Administer medication as required, recording procedures in accordance with policy.
Escort vehicles as authorised and transport service users.
Provide cover for staff absences and other operational needs.
Communicate effectively with carers, relatives, professionals, support groups, and legal representatives.
Carry out all responsibilities with a positive attitude and in line with practice frameworks.Experience & Knowledge
Professional care qualification or equivalent (or working towards Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and the Care Certificate).
Knowledge and appreciation of person-centred care and understanding “what matters” to individuals.
Basic ICT skills.
Experience of working directly with adults, individuals, or groups.Skills & Competencies
Professional conduct in line with NCC Code of Conduct.
Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and seek improvements to services and outcomes.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
Ability to support personal care needs respectfully in line with care plans and quality standards.
Effective verbal and written communication with service users, colleagues, professionals, carers, and stakeholders.
Record keeping and documentation maintenance.
