Industrial Warehouse Operative
Newport, Isle of Wight
Temporary – Ongoing Contract (Starting January)
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Pertemps Isle of Wight is currently recruiting for an Industrial Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Newport. This role is ideal for someone physically fit, practical, and confident using industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
Role Overview
As an Industrial Warehouse Operative, you will play an important role in keeping production and warehouse areas clean, safe, and well-organised. Duties will include operating a B1 Forklift Truck, driving a small company van when needed, and carrying out industrial cleaning tasks across production floors.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a B1 FLT to move materials and support production
Drive a small company van for site-to-site or local transport tasks
Keep production floors clean, safe, and free from debris
Assist with organising equipment and maintaining tidy work areas
Handle industrial cleaning tools and machinery as required
Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
Valid B1 Forklift Truck licence
Clean UK driving licence
Physically fit and comfortable with manual, industrial tasks
Good awareness of workplace safety
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments beneficial
Contract Details
Start Date: January
Contract: Temporary – ongoing
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time, daytime shifts
Location: Newport, Isle of Wight
