Instrument Technician - 6-Month Contract, UK Candidates Wanted Location: Australia Salary: Highly competitive + Accommodation/Food + Flights + Visa Package Contract: 6-month minimum (extension opportunities)Your Chance to Work in Australia Are you an experienced Instrument Technician looking for a new challenge? Interested in taking your skills overseas for a high-paying contract on major industrial projects? I'm recruiting Instrument Technicians across the UK for a highly respected industrial client operating in the petrochemical and oil & gas sector in Australia. This is a rare opportunity to join a large-scale project with full relocation support and exceptional earning potential. The Role You will play a key role in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation across complex industrial sites. Responsibilities include: Calibration, loop checks & functional testing Fault finding & troubleshooting on instrumentation and control systems Shutdown, start-up & commissioning support Testing flow, level, temperature & pressure transmitters Working with control valves and a wide range of instrumentation equipment Reading/interpreting P&IDs, data sheets, calibration documents & supplier manuals Producing accurate calibration reports and instrument documentation Supporting instrumentation projects across petrochemical/oil & gas facilitiesWhat You'll Need Proven experience as an Instrument Technician in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, refinery, LNG, or heavy industrial environments Strong background in calibration, loop checking, commissioning, and fault finding Experience with shutdowns/start-ups (advantageous) Familiarity with control valves, transmitters, calibration tools and test equipment Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop drawings and technical documentation Knowledge of HART, Foundation Fieldbus or similar systems (beneficial) A strong safety mindset and ability to work within a dynamic teamWhat's on Offer Relocation package to Australia Flights + accommodation + food + visa provided Highly competitive rates Supportive project teams and strong onboarding Possibility of extensions This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who enjoy travel, strong project environments and high-value contract work.
