Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's Adult Social Care Team on a full-time, hybrid basis.
Hours: 36 per week (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
Base: Halewood - minimum 2 days per week on site required
Pay Rate: £32 per hour
About the Role
You'll be supporting adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and complex social circumstances. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role where you'll work collaboratively to maximise independence through short-term interventions and partnership working.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake strengths-based assessments, support plans, and commission services
Manage your own caseload effectively and participate in duty twice weekly
Complete safeguarding enquiries, Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA), and Best Interest Meetings (BIM)
Undertake CHC/DST assessments
Identify and escalate risk appropriately
Work closely with partner agencies including Rapid Response, Reablement, Housing, Health, and Substance Misuse Services
Requirements
Recent experience in Adult Social Work (essential)
Registered with SWE & hold a clean DBS
Car user (essential)
Strong time management and caseload prioritisation skills
Confident working in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment
