KS1 SEN/ Mental health Assistant - Chelmsford, Essex Education and training ** KS1 SEN/ Mental health Assistant ** Long term contract until July 2027 ** Permanent contract from August 2027 ** Chelmsford, Essex ** £92-£100 per day (weekly pay) ** Education and training ** Teacher training available for the suitable candidate ** Special Education Needs ** Graduates are welcome to apply ** September 2026 start Academics are working with a 'good' school in Chelmsford, Essex. This is a long term role commencing in September, until July 2027. A permanent role from August 2027 will be available for the right candidate. The school also offers teacher training which would be carried on site and would allow you to earn a wage, while working towards your QTS. Key responsibilities within the role: Attend to pupils' personal needs, and implement related personal programmes (must be comfortable taking both girls and boys to the toilet) Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration Have the highest expectation that every student will make sustained academic and personal progress Ensure that every pupil is ready for the next steps in their learning and is supported to participate and contribute toWhy work for us?
