One of the Isle of Wight’s most forward-thinking, dynamic training practices is looking for a Lead Practice Nurse to join their vibrant team.
With their current Lead Nurse stepping down, this is your opportunity to take the reins of a large, friendly, and multi-disciplinary practice that places patient care and staff development at the heart of everything it does.
The Role:
This is more than just a nursing job — it’s a leadership opportunity. You’ll:
* Lead and support a large team of Practice Nurses and HCAs
* Oversee infection control, health promotion, chronic disease management & policy development
* Run your own clinics and develop specialist interests
* Drive standards, support training and appraisals, and champion best practice
* Work across two charming practice sites with a combined list size of ~25,000 patients
* You'll join a well-resourced team of: 5 GP Partners + 8 Salaried GPs, 15 Practice Nurses, 8 HCAs, ANPs, Paramedics, MSK Practitioners, Mental Health Practitioners, Care Coordinators, Chronic Pain Coach, Social Prescriber & more
* Proud to be a training practice that invests in people — including you.
What’s On Offer
* NHS Pension + Cycle to Work Scheme, 5–6 weeks annual leave + Bank Holidays, Gym Membership
* Full-time preferred but happy to consider 3–4 days
What We’re Looking For:
* NMC Registered Nurse with solid primary care experience
* A passion for leadership and developing others
* Skilled in long-term condition management
* Familiar with QOF, clinical policy, and quality standards
* Positive, forward-thinking and proactive
