About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and student-focused Learning Resource Base (LRB) Supervisor to lead and develop our school’s learning resource provision.

The successful candidate will ensure the LRB is a vibrant, inclusive, and well-managed environment that promotes a love of reading, supports independent study, and enhances learning across all year groups.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Manage the day-to-day running of the Learning Resource Base.

  * 

    Promote reading for pleasure and support literacy initiatives across the school.

  * 

    Support students in finding, using, and referencing learning resources.

  * 

    Maintain and develop the library catalogue and resource management systems.

  * 

    Supervise students using the LRB during lessons, break times, and after school.

  * 

    Work with teaching staff to provide relevant resources that support curriculum delivery.

  * 

    Organise reading challenges, author visits, and other enrichment activities.

  * 

    Ensure the LRB is an inviting and purposeful study environment.

About You

You will be:

  * 

    Passionate about books, reading, and helping young people learn.

  * 

    Approachable, patient, and able to build positive relationships with students.

  * 

    Confident in managing behaviour and maintaining a calm, productive space.

  * 

    Organised, with strong attention to detail and good IT skills.

  * 

    Familiar with (or willing to learn) library management systems and digital resources.

Qualifications & Experience:

  * 

    GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths required.

  * 

    Experience of working with young people in an educational or library setting desirable.

  * 

    A library, information management, or education-related qualification is an advantage
