About the role
As a Learning Support Assistant, with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education, the successful applicant:
Will be looking for a full-time role and have the empathy and compassion required to support young people with barriers to learning.
Have experience of working with children on a 1 to 1, group, and in-class basis.
Have a Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification – level 2 or higher
Schools would also like someone who might be comfortable covering full classes in the instance of an absence, though this is something that can be introduced later.

We are working with GOOD and OUTSTANDING schools in Stockport and surrounding local authorities who have full-time vacancy openings starting in September 2025. Requirements
To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:
Be able to work 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who will have Special Educational Needs
Have a warm and caring personality
Have at least a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or related qualification
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant school-based experience
