Legal Document Creator
Hours: 9am – 5pm (Hybrid)
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: Up to £32,000 (DOE)
Anderson Knight is recruiting a Legal Document Creator for a well-established law firm in Edinburgh. We are looking for someone who has experience within a document creation/production role.
Role Overview:
• Ensure all work is accurate and well-presented after editing and redrafting.
• Meet deadlines set by fee earners and communicate any challenges with meeting those deadlines.
• Handle calls, emails, and Teams messages, taking clear instructions for document production.
• Report any document or system issues to IT Support.
• Collaborate with Coordinators to provide updates on document progress.
• Be flexible with working hours to complete urgent tasks.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
• Prioritise tasks effectively to meet changing deadlines and workflows.
• Assist the PA team with document queries and training needs.
• Transcribe dictation accurately within realistic timeframes.
• Help format client-specific documents and update firm precedents.
• Participate in pilot schemes and project work as needed.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by managers.
Essential:
• Strong organisational and technical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Problem-solving abilities and prior experience in document production.
• Advanced Word skills.
Desirable:
• Legal sector experience.
