Live-In Support Worker – Learning Disabilities
Location: Multiple locations in Yeovil
Job Type: Live-In Support | Regular Bookings | Minimum 2-Week Assignments
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced female Live-In Support Worker to assist an adult with learning disabilities in their own home in Salisbury. This role offers regular ongoing work with bookings ranging from 1 to 3 weeks, providing consistency, stability, and the chance to build a meaningful therapeutic relationship.
🕒 Shift Details
Hours: 7:00am – 10:00pm (Live-in)
Working Pattern: 6 days per week
Breaks: 2-hour break per day + 1x 8-hour extended break per week

Requires support with daily routines and structured activities

May need prompts or assistance with personal care

Requires emotional reassurance and support with decision-making

Responds best to calm, patient, and consistent communication

Experience working with adults with learning disabilities

Understanding of communication needs, sensory needs, or behaviours of concern

Confident with care plans, routines, and maintaining clear boundaries

Kind, patient, and consistent with excellent communication skills

Must be female (due to client’s preference)
