Maintenance Engineer – Nights Only

We’re seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, continuously expanding manufacturing business operating 24/7.

Shift: Permanent Nights
Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience up to £50k

This role would suit someone with an electrical bias and strong mechanical understanding, ideally with experience in reactive and preventative maintenance, PLC-controlled machinery, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  * 

    Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated production equipment

  * 

    Diagnose faults quickly to minimise downtime

  * 

    Support TPM and reliability initiatives

  * 

    Work with production and quality teams to improve efficiency and output

  * 

    Operate independently and as part of a small engineering team

Desired Experience:

  * 

    NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline

  * 

    Skilled in PLC fault finding, AC/DC drives, and general control systems

  * 

    Good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and safety procedures

  * 

    Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
