Key Responsibilities for Manufacturing Operations Manager:

Take full responsibility for day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production, quality, cost, and safety targets are achieved.

Establish and optimise automated production lines and 3D printing processes, supporting the transition from pilot systems to full-scale manufacturing.

Implement and monitor key operational performance metrics, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), output, downtime, quality yield, and throughput efficiency.

Lead, develop, and motivate a growing production team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
*
Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement initiatives.
*
Develop robust production planning, scheduling, and performance tracking systems to support consistent delivery and growth.
*
Work closely with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to industrialise new manufacturing technologies and ensure seamless scale-up.
*
Oversee site compliance, health and safety, environmental performance, and quality management systems.
*
Play a key role in shaping the operational strategy and long-term growth of the UK facility.
Key experience required for Manufacturing Operations Manager:

Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, ideally within an automated, process, or technology-led environment.

Strong background in setting up or scaling production operations, with hands-on involvement in machinery commissioning, workflow design, or process optimisation.

Working knowledge of OEE, KPI tracking, and data-driven performance management to monitor efficiency and output.
*
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Demonstrable leadership ability — able to build, mentor, and empower high-performing teams.
