Maths Teaching Assistant - Secondary School (Tower Hamlets)

Position: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)
 Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
 Contract: Term-time
 Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teaching Assistant to join our supportive secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in students' learning and contribute to their success in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to students in and out of the classroom.

Work closely with teachers to deliver lessons, reinforce learning, and help students grasp challenging concepts.

Support small group or one-to-one interventions to boost students' confidence and attainment.

Assist with preparation of resources and classroom management.

Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teachers to inform planning.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience working with secondary school students, ideally in maths or a related subject.

Demonstrates strong numeracy skills and a good understanding of the curriculum.

Can build positive relationships with students and support their learning in an encouraging way.

Is organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
