This is a mechanically orientated role where you will be responsible for responding to garage equipment breakdowns, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and ensuring customer workshops remain compliant, safe, and fully operational.
The Role
As a Breakdown Engineer, you will:
Respond to workshop garage equipment breakdowns at customer sites.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with a range of equipment.
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and calibration of garage equipment to industry standards.
Ensure all work is completed in line with safety regulations and company processes.
Provide clear communication and updates to customers to manage expectations.
Complete accurate service reports and compliance documentation.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong mechanical background (hydraulics, pneumatics, or similar).
Experience with emission & brake testing equipment.
Electronics knowledge or experience working with electrically controlled systems.
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow technical processes.
Customer-focused with good communication skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Desirable:
