Mechanical Fitter (Forklift Assembly & PDI Technician)

Basingstoke

£31,000 - £36,000 Base + 6% Employer/4% Employee Pension + Overtime at Time 1.5 & 2.0 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Life Assurance + Discount Benefits Scheme + Uniform + Training

8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

Mechanical Fitter role available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of materials handling equipment. The offers full training in a modern and fully equipped workshop.

The role will suit those looking for a team-based culture offering training and progression opportunities.

To apply for the role, you need to have assembly/fitting experience of mechanical equipment and hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.

The role is working within in a team of 12 engineers assembling, building and modifying new forklift trucks. You will be performing PDI’s to a high standard to produce quality forklifts.

The Mechanical Fitter Role:
• Carry out PDI’s on a range of trucks
• Occasional service and repair work
• Part of a team of 12
• Maintain a clean workshop
• Order parts

The Person Required:
• Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, vehicle technician or similar discipline
• Mechanical fitting/assembly/machinery build experience of mechanical equipment
