Mechanical Project Manager

Coventry | £75,000 - £85,000 + Car Allowance + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Opportunity

We are currently working with a well-established Building Services contractor that is seeking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of projects across Coventry, the West Midlands and surrounding regions.

Operating across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education and industrial, the business has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical solutions while maintaining long-standing relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

Managing mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and final handover.
Developing and monitoring project programmes to ensure delivery milestones are achieved.
Coordinating site teams, specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners.
Ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet project requirements. 

Client & Stakeholder Management

Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
Attending progress meetings and providing regular project updates.
Maintaining strong working relationships to support successful project outcomes. 

Commercial & Operational Management

Supporting procurement activities and subcontractor management.
Monitoring project performance against programme and budget objectives.
Managing variations and change control processes in conjunction with commercial teams.
Identifying and mitigating project risks throughout the delivery phase. 

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
Promoting a positive health and safety culture across all project activities.
Overseeing commissioning, snagging and project close-out activities.
Ensuring all documentation is completed and issued as required. 

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in the delivery of mechanical building services projects and will have experience operating within an M&E contractor or Building Services environment.

Applicants should demonstrate:

Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Manager position.
Strong technical understanding of HVAC, pipework and mechanical systems.
Experience delivering projects within commercial, healthcare, education or industrial sectors.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
