Job Details
Mechanical Site Manager (Building Services) – Gatwick
Location: Gatwick (Site‑based)
We're looking for a Mechanical Site Manager to work on an upgrade to an elite passenger building at Gatwick Airport. £8 million M&E value - taking out old kit and installing new chillers, pipework etc. Project is set to last until 2028. You will then be moved on to alternate projects on the site which go through until 2032.
You’ll be working for one of the UK's leading renewable energy contractors & overseeing day‑to‑day mechanical site activity, managing subcontractors and safety.
The Opportunity
This role is fully site‑focused, managing mechanical works where safety, coordination and clear communication are essential.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers and supervisors to ensure daily activities run safely and efficiently.
The Role
  * Manage day‑to‑day mechanical site works
  * Supervise subcontractors and site labour
  * Enforce health & safety standards
  * Review and implement RAMS
  * Coordinate works with other trades
  * Monitor quality and progress on site
  * Support testing, commissioning and handover
You’ll be the visible mechanical lead on site, keeping standards high and work moving.
What We’re Looking For
  * Mechanical Site Manager or Senior Supervisor experience
  * Strong mechanical trade background
  * Comfortable working in live environments
  * Strong understanding of site safety and sequencing
  * Confident managing subcontractors
  * CSCS desirable
  * SMSTS (or SSSTS with solid experience)
  * Full UK driving licence
