Role – Mechanical Technician
Type – Permanent
Location – Southwest London
Salary – £33,000 - £37,500, dependent on experience
My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Southwest London on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
Experienced working in a factory or workshop environment
Strong experience with Manual Milling, Turning, Welding and Fabrication
Mechanical Assembly and Manufacturing skills
Able to read and work to Engineering Drawings
Knowledge of MIG / TIG Welding
Experienced using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Team player
The Mechanical Technician role will involve:
Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment
Working with Milling and Turning Machinery
Working to project specifications and deadlines
Participating in technical training
Working to procedures and instructions
Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
