Location: Glasgow & Surrounding
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Salary: £31,518.00 Total Salary + Overtime, 33 Days Holiday, Private Pension & Benefits – Including Private Health Care, Life Insurance, Employee Discounts
Ready for a role where no two days are the same?
One day you could be fixing a loose loo seat, the next you might be supporting a site through a complete power outage. This is a hands-on position that spans multiple disciplines across our stores, so adaptability and problem-solving are key.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. You’ll tackle two types of work:
  * Reactive Maintenance – responding to urgent repair requests and prioritising jobs based on impact.
  * Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) – scheduled tasks to keep our sites running smoothly and avoid future issues.
If you have practical skills in electrical work, carpentry, plumbing, and more, this is your chance to make a real difference every day.
Key Responsibilities:
  * Support City Technicians with major and minor maintenance tasks.
  * Complete all PPM and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate documentation.
  * Respond promptly to Helpdesk service calls, assess requirements, and carry out repairs effectively.
  * Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repairs quickly and efficiently.
  * Maintain tools and equipment in good working order at all times.
Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
  * City & Guilds / NVQ Level 1 in Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, or Roofing
  * Previous experience in building maintenance within a commercial or retail environment
Desirable
  * Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of equipment
  * Strong focus on quality, speed, and efficiency of work
The Ideal Candidate
  * Full UK driving licence
  * Experience using an iPad-based maintenance system (Mercury)
  * Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience in a retail setting
