Multi Skilled Engineer Colne, Lancashire £46,472 to £49,059 Days Shift Only FMCG / Food Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting for multiple Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers for a well-established food manufacturing site in Colne, Lancashire. This is a fast-paced FMCG environment operating within meat processing, offering stability, strong earnings and long-term progression.

This is a hands-on engineering role within a busy production environment, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activity across site machinery.

The Shift

Rotating days shift pattern:

Monday to Friday: 05:30am to 1:00pm
Followed by Monday to Saturday with one day off during the week
Followed by a shorter Friday finish week

Key Responsibilities

Planned preventative maintenance across production equipment
Reactive breakdown response and fault finding
Mechanical and electrical repairs
Supporting production line efficiency and changeovers
Monitoring equipment performance and reliability
Working closely with production teams to reduce downtime
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and food standards

What We're Looking For

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
FMCG or food manufacturing experience preferred
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
Experience with conveyors, motors, pumps and packaging equipment
Proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance
