Job Description
Island Bakery is on the lookout for a talented and hands-on Multi Skilled Engineer to join their close-knit team in one of the most scenic locations in the UK. This is a truly unique opportunity for someone with mechanical bias and a proactive mindset to play a key role in maintaining and improving operations.
What We're Looking For:
* Mechanically biased engineer with hands-on skills in welding and fabrication.
* Strong problem-solver with a tinkerer/maker mindset.
* Comfortable being the sole engineer in a small, dynamic team.
* Team player with a collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
* Practical thinker with the adaptability to thrive in a remote island setting.
* Formal qualifications are a bonus—but aptitude, attitude, and experience matter more.
Shift Pattern:
* Core hours: Flexibility available—weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) or midweek adjustments (e.g., Sun–Thurs or Tues–Sat) can be arranged to suit. 8am–4pm.
* Production operates 6am–10pm (Mon-Fri) —some on-call cover required
Package & Perks:
* Salary: DOE
* Bonus: (~3–5% of salary).
