Job Description
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)
Location: Huntingdon
Salary: £45,000 PA
Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible start between 06:00-07:00, finish between 14:30-15:30. Early Friday finish (typically by 13:00-14:00)
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll join a team of engineers responsible for the upkeep and smooth running of both production machinery and general site facilities.
Key Responsibilities as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer?
Perform diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical faults on plant equipment.
Deliver both reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
Install, relocate, and reposition motors and machinery as needed.
Working closely with line operatives to maintain conveyor systems and pneumatic arms across production lines.
Support with facilities maintenance including lighting, plumbing, and minor electrical works.
Adhere to site safety policies including Lockout/Tagout (LOTTO).
Occasionally support with fabrication and light sheet welding.
Desired Skills & Experience as a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer?
Proven experience as a Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical)
Relevant qualifications NVQ as a minimum.
Confident with PLC fault finding and testing.
Hands-on experience with bearings, motors, and pneumatic systems.
Comfortable working in dusty environments with PPE.
Able to plan and prioritise workload independently.
Experience with conveyor belts and production machinery.
