Job Role
We're on the lookout for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our client's repairs and maintenance team. If you're hands-on, take pride in your work, and enjoy a bit of variety in your day, this could be the role for you. You’ll be tackling all sorts of repair and maintenance jobs – from fixing up kitchens and bathrooms to getting empty properties ready to re-let.
Role and Responsibilities
* Undertake Multi Trade works including: Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Painting and Decorating, Flooring and Plastering
* Complete works to a high professional standard
* Represent the company professionally at all times, wearing full uniform and PPE.
* Use company PDA to receive, manage, and update job information.
* Accurately document work with "before and after" photos, material orders, and job reports.
* Carry out routine daily van checks
* Follow health and safety procedures, complete risk assessments, and attend Toolbox Talks.
* Participate in the Emergency Call-Out Rota (with additional payments where applicable).
* Communicate clearly with clients, tenants, and colleagues.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade is preferred (or equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Proven experience in responsive repairs and maintenance, ideally within local authority or social housing environments.
* Multi-trade background with strong core skills in at least one or more of the following: plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating.
* Competent IT skills with the ability to use PDAs and email systems (training provided).
* Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.
