Job Title: Registered General Nurse (Nights) - NON SPONSORSHIP
Location: Broomfield, CM1
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: £24.25 per hour
Shift: Night shift only

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse to join Broomfield Village Care Home as our sole night nurse. This is a standalone clinical role; you'll be the most senior clinician on shift, responsible for all nursing decisions and the overall safety and well-being of residents through the night.

This isn't a role for someone still building their confidence. We need a nurse who is clinically assured, operationally self-sufficient, and ready to lead from the moment they walk through the door.

Key Responsibilities

  * Act as the sole responsible nurse on the night shift — owning all clinical decisions independently

  * Administer, monitor and evaluate individualised care plans

  * Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records

  * Provide leadership and direction to the care team on shift

  * Respond to and manage clinical situations without on-site senior nursing support

  * Advocate for residents and liaise with families where needed

  * Escalate appropriately to on-call management when required

What We're Looking For

  * Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC pin

  * Proven experience working in a care home or similar setting — essential

  * Comfortable working as a sole nurse with full clinical accountability

  * Strong clinical judgement and the ability to prioritise under pressure

  * Confident, self-directed, and operationally independent from day one

  * Excellent communication skills with residents, families and support staff
