Job Description

Looking for a role where you're actually valued as an engineer instead of constantly firefighting?

We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, well-established food manufacturing business with a busy, fast-paced production site in West Yorkshire.

This is a hands-on role working on production and packaging machinery, keeping lines running, fixing breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance and helping improve reliability across the site.

The business is heavily invested, stable and part of a larger UK manufacturing group, offering long-term security, strong benefits and genuine progression opportunities.

What you'll be doing:

Responding to machine breakdowns and faults
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
Fault finding on electrical and mechanical issues
Working on conveyors, motors, pumps and production machinery
Supporting production to minimise downtime
Helping improve machine performance and reliability
Keeping maintenance records updated
Working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

What they're looking for:

Multi-skilled engineering experience within manufacturing/FMCG
Strong fault finding skills
Electrical and mechanical knowledge
Experience working on production machinery
Engineering qualification preferred (NVQ Level 3 or similar)
Someone proactive who can work well under pressure
