Nursery Practitioner (Baby Room) – Level 3 Qualified

Permanent Position | Full-Time | Galleywood Area

Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role

As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the care, development, and wellbeing of children aged 0–2 years. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where babies can thrive and reach their developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that supports babies' individual needs and development.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate learning and development records.
Support children's personal care routines, including feeding, changing, sleeping, and hygiene practices.
Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on their child's development and wellbeing.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times and promote the welfare of all children.
Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the nursery.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth day-to-day running of the baby room.
Promote inclusion, equality, and diversity within the setting.

Requirements

A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
Previous experience working within a nursery baby room is desirable.
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
