Your Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional and sensory needs within a school environment
Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to support students' fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, emotional regulation, and independence
Deliver 1:1 and small group sessions, using therapeutic strategies that align with individual EHCP outcomes
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, support staff, and families to embed therapy goals into daily routines and learning activities
Contribute to the creation of sensory-friendly environments and strategies across the school
Monitor and review progress, adapting interventions as needed and contributing to review meetings and reports
Provide training, resources, and guidance to staff on implementing OT-informed strategies in the classroom
Support transitions, whether between activities or across school phases, to promote consistency and reduce anxiety for learners
What We’re Looking For:
A qualified Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered) – or someone with strong relevant experience and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN
Experience working in a school, clinical, or care setting with children or young people
Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) about Autism, SEMH, sensory integration, and developmental delays
A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive, nurturing approach
Commitment to inclusive education and empowering every learner to achieve their potential
