Our local authority client based in North West London are urgently seeking an experienced Organisational Development Manager.
*Hybrid working 2/3 days on site a week
Role Purpose
Lead specific OD projects, programmes and initiatives for the Council to support its strategic ambition and to deliver the modernisation programme. Work with directorates, change programme leads, and teams to deliver the OD agenda.
Main Duties / Accountabilities
* Lead for the Council on the core OD agenda including
* Replacement of the current Performance appraisal process including associated policy, process and system issues, capability development and reporting
* Harrow Stars and annual recognition scheme
* Staff and pulse surveys and associated action plans
* Creation of and reporting of relevant OD metrics and measures
* Workforce planning – lead on the creation of the approach with directorates, and its development; creation of actions and measures of success; deployment of the plan
* Development and maintenance of a full range of OD interventions including performance, engagement, recognition, metrics and measures.
* Contribute to the development of the OD Plan – part of the wider Workforce strategy.
* Provide specialist advice and support to directorates and teams on OD interventions, OD/L&D policies and workforce development processes, Work with directorates and teams to improve performance through the use of customised and bespoke OD solutions based on clearly identified need.
* Lead for the council on all organisation design issues.
* Contribute to ‘thought leadership’ on all aspects of organisation development and design to the Council ensuring that the Council has the skills, capabilities, values & behaviours and ways of working that enable high performance.
Role requirements
* Significant experience of designing and delivering a complex OD agenda
* Knowledge and understanding of OD best practice and the delivery of value for money and savings.
* Experience of the design and delivery of bespoke OD interventions
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a demanding and pressurised environment independently and as part of a team to contribute to the broader HR&OD agenda
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent or has the equivalent relevant work experience.
* Evidence of regular CPD in relation to OD/Change/L&D
