Overview of the role:
We are seeking a Parks Development Officer to help deliver and enhance the Council's green space services. This role plays a key part in improving community spaces and driving forward environmental and recreational initiatives across the region.
Responsibilities and Duties
Liaise and manage relationships with customers, stakeholders, and contractors.
Develop service strategies and improvement plans.
Manage and maintain accurate data records.
Act as the lead officer for Stewardship applications and oversee ongoing contract management.
Support open space needs assessments through planning, consultation, and review processes.
Implement recommendations from the Leisure and Culture Strategy.
Provide feedback to the Planning Team on matters related to landscape, ecology, habitat, and biodiversity.
Coordinate and deliver the Green Flag Award programme in collaboration with team colleagues.
Lead on the marketing and promotion of services.
Enhance facilities within parks and open spaces to increase public usage and satisfaction.
