Job Description

Part-time laboratory technician

This is a permanent part time opportunity paying negotiable salary with added benefits.  
Total working hours per week is 17.5 hours 
Shift pattern-  4 on 4 off.  Maximum 5 hours per day.

Responsibilities:
Analysing water samples using analytical techniques such as GC-MS, GC-QQQ, LC-QQQ and LC-MS
Receiving samples and logging them
Analysis and investigation of results 
Provide training to junior staff members
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
Work according to ISO17025 guidelines 
To undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager

Qualifications:

Degree in chemistry or equivalent
Full training will be provided so its not essential to have prior laboratory experience but its highly desirable 
Excellent communication and written skills
