Pastoral Manager - Secondary School - Lewisham

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lewisham seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Manager to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering an opportunity to make a real difference in the wellbeing, engagement, and success of young people.

About the Role:

Lead on pastoral care and wellbeing for a designated year group or cohort

Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges

Work closely with parents, teachers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support

Monitor attendance, punctuality, and behaviour data, implementing interventions where needed

Promote a positive school culture built on respect, inclusion, and high expectations

Requirements:

Previous experience in a pastoral, behaviour, or safeguarding role within a school (essential)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational ability and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Confidence working with students who have additional or complex needs

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
