Planning Engineer
Join a leading Oil & Gas organization in Qatar as a Planning Engineer, where your expertise will be pivotal in driving the successful execution of complex brownfield projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your functional planning knowledge and engineering experience to ensure timely, efficient project delivery across a vast portfolio.
You will play a key role in integrating project planning processes, reviewing contractor schedules and recovery plans, and supporting technical bid evaluations. Your insights will help establish performance benchmarks, streamline planning functions, and embed best practices within the projects planning team, making a tangible impact on operational excellence.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in project planning and scheduling within the oil and gas sector
Strong knowledge of planning processes, including review and assessment of contractor deliverables and progress reporting
Ability to support contract teams with technical bid evaluations and manage contractual deviations
Proven experience in performance analysis and process improvement for project controls
Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage planning uniformity across multiple projects
Nice to Have Skills:
Familiarity with multi-discipline project phases in large-scale brownfield projects
Experience implementing and enhancing project planning standards and procedures
Knowledge of industry benchmarking practices and continuous improvement methodologies
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Multi-discipline planning and scheduling experience in the oil and gas industry
Hands-on experience managing integrated project timelines and schedules in complex project environments
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work in Qatar with start date anticipated in 2026
Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and contractors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
