Plant & Fleet Fitter
As a plant & fleet fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and safety of our specialist plant and fleet.
Based at our Wigan workshop, you will work within a skilled team responsible for servicing and repairing a wide range of equipment, including cranes, lifting systems, HGV's, and associated plant .
This is a practical, hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work on specialist equipment that supports projects across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilites as a Plant & Fleet Fitter:
* Service, maintain and repair specialist equipment including mobile cranes, heavy forklifts, hydraulic gantry systems and lifting gear.
* Carry out maintenance on HGV's, trailers, generators, lighting towers, and small plant
* Diagonse faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Support breakdown response across the UK when required
* Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Essential Experience and Skills as a Plant & Fleet Fitter:
* Experience maintaining and troubleshooting heavy plant equipment
* recogised apprenticeship or qualification in a mechanical or engineering discipline
* Practical, hands-on approach with a focus on getting the job done properly
* A postive, team-focused attitude with strong communication skills
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
* Ability to use large workshop equipment
* Reliable, punctual, and motivated with 'can-do' attitude
* Organised, safety-conscious, and committed to quality
