HLTA – Primary School (Hayes) Location: Hayes
Start Date: January
Days: 2 days per week
Contract: Long-term (Trials to begin ASAP)
Pertemps Education is working with a wonderful Primary school in Hayes who are seeking a committed and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from January. This is a 2-day-per-week role, offering a fantastic opportunity to work across a warm, supportive school environment.
About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for covering classes from EYFS to Year 6, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring a positive learning experience for all pupils. You will work alongside teaching staff to maintain high standards of behaviour and learning across the school.
Key Responsibilities
Confidently deliver pre-planned lessons across all primary year groups (EYFS–Year 6).
Maintain strong behaviour management and create a positive classroom atmosphere.
Support pupils’ learning, engagement, and progress.
Work collaboratively with class teachers, support staff, and SLT.
Adapt to the needs of different classes and year groups.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
HLTA qualification or significant experience working as an HLTA.
Strong behaviour-management skills.
Flexibility to work across multiple year groups.
A proactive, reliable, and positive approach.
Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Right to work in the UK.
