What You Will Do:
- Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, and assembly.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing workflows, space requirements, and equipment layouts.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, establishing standards, and compiling SOPs and process flow charts.
- Analyse product and process trends using quality and efficiency data to achieve improvements in throughput and costs.
- Maintain equipment by coordinating maintenance and repair services, ensuring smooth operations.
- Contribute to team success by training and guiding staff, completing development projects, and providing manufacturing engineering information to support other departments.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong understanding of assembly drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDTs).
- Experience with CNC operations, including Fanuc and Siemens programming, tooling selection, and fixture design.
- Proven ability to improve manufacturing processes and ensure product quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with complex manufacturing challenges.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement.
