A growing construction consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their expanding team. This Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of projects across the residential sector, leading schemes from inception through to completion while working directly with clients and key stakeholders. The successful Project Manager will join a collaborative consultancy that has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality developments and providing clear progression opportunities for its team.
This Project Manager role is ideally suited to an ambitious consultant who is comfortable operating as the lead Project Manager on projects with minimal supervision. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all stages of the project lifecycle, coordinating design teams, contractors and stakeholders, whilst maintaining control of programme, cost and quality objectives. Whilst residential experience is essential, the Project Manager will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to other projects as the consultancy continues to grow its portfolio.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will take responsibility for delivering residential construction projects through both pre and post-contract stages.
Key responsibilities will include:
Acting as the lead Project Manager across multiple projects
Managing projects through the full project lifecycle
Coordinating design teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders
Producing and maintaining project programmes
Managing project budgets, contingencies and financial reporting
Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Leading procurement exercises, including consultant appointments and tender processes
Managing statutory approvals and construction compliance requirements
Supporting contract execution and project delivery
Overseeing practical completion processes and certification of works
Maintaining strong client relationships throughout project delivery
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will have:
A minimum of 3 years' construction consultancy experience
Strong residential sector project experience
Experience delivering projects through both pre and post-contract stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Experience managing project budgets and financial controls
Strong programme management skills with the ability to produce full logic-linked programmes
Experience procuring consultants and managing tender processes
Knowledge of contract administration and project governance
Chartered status or actively working towards MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or equivalent
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
