Fruitscout provides independent quality control services to fresh-produce sites across the UK. We support packhouses, wholesalers and importers by delivering consistent, unbiased inspections that help maintain customer standards. At the Sittingbourne site, we’re expanding our on-site QC presence and looking for someone reliable to join us.

Role Description
This role is about being the independent set of eyes on-site, making sure all produce meets the required standards. You’ll work across inbound, outbound and packhouse operations, so your judgement and communication will be used every day. The workload shifts between busy intake periods and quieter stock reviews, but the focus stays the same: keeping quality consistent and honest.
What You'll Do
* Inbound QC: Inspect all incoming produce against customer and site specifications.
* Outbound QC: Complete final quality checks on orders before dispatch.
* Packhouse Support: Carry out visual assessments on production lines when needed.
* Stock Re-Assessments: Review stored stock quality as in when required.
* Communication: Provide clear, timely feedback to site teams while maintaining Fruitscout’s independent position.
Qualifications
* Experience in fresh produce QC (preferred)
* Strong communication skills
* High attention to detail and consistent judgement
* Comfortable working in chilled environments
* Reliable, flexible and able to work independently
