Job Description

Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering & Highways

A growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor based in Bridgwater is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

Working across highways, surfacing, and infrastructure projects, the successful candidate will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage valuations, variations, CVRs, payments, and final accounts.

  * Administer NEC, JCT, ICE and related contracts.

  * Monitor project costs, forecasts, and profitability.

  * Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers.

  * Support operational teams with commercial advice and reporting.

  * Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

About You

  * Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or similar.

  * Proven experience within civil engineering or highways projects.

  * Strong knowledge of NEC and other standard forms of contract.

  * Excellent commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  * Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
