Job Description
RMS are working with a company who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of JCT Contracts and a background in managing large projects, ideally within a similar industry.
Salary: Competitive salary of £45k-£50k (DOE)
Location: Bridgwater
Contract: Fixed Term (12 Months)
About the Role:
Working as a Quantity Surveyor responsibilities will include:
Prepare and agree valuations with clients, ensuring payments are received in line with subcontract agreements.
Accurately take off material quantities from drawings.
Price contract variations and issue subcontract enquiries.
Prepare subcontractor payment certificates and manage supply chain liabilities.
Negotiate and place comprehensive subcontract orders.
Contribute to monthly financial reporting and cash flow forecasting.
Negotiate and agree final accounts with main contractor QS.
Liaise with estimating, design, purchasing, and contracts teams to track changes and control costs.
Carry out general administration as required.
About You:
Previous experience with a specialist sub-contractor (essential).
Strong working knowledge of JCT Projects.
Experience working on large-scale projects.
Cladding knowledge desirable.
Confident communicator across all disciplines and levels.
Proactive, flexible approach with strong time management skills.
