The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality Religious Education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and thoughtful Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching depending on experience
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students
Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and implement strategies for improvement
Prepare students for GCSE exams with targeted teaching and revision sessions
Contribute to curriculum planning and initiatives within the RE department
Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
Maintain effective classroom management in line with the school's behaviour policies
Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support student development
Candidate Profile:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification
Degree in Religious Education or a related subject
Proven experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting
A passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students
Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
Commitment to promoting student wellbeing and safeguarding
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
