Smart Education is recruiting for a School Receptionist to join a busy, welcoming front office within a specialist education setting. This is a permanent, full-time role, and applicants must have previous experience working in a school environment.

Job Requirements
• Previous experience working as a School Receptionist (essential)
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including Maths and English
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confident using school systems, email, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• Professional, welcoming, and calm approach
Role Responsibilities
• Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external professionals
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and enquiries
• Maintain accurate records and update school systems
• Assist with attendance, signing-in procedures, and daily safeguarding checks
• Support general administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, and data entry
• Ensure a professional and efficient front office service at all times
• Follow school safeguarding, GDPR, and health & safety procedures
