Recruitment Team Lead / Senior Recruiter Bridgwater & Hinkley Point C Permanent | 9‑Day Fortnight | Hybrid (4+ Days On-Site) £38,000 + 8.65% Guaranteed Bonus + Travel Allowance We are supporting a major infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s most nationally significant projects, to recruit a Recruitment Team Lead / Senior Recruiter. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment, where you will take ownership of recruitment delivery while leading a team of 3 internal recruiters. This is an urgent requirement, so we're looking for someone to start ASAP! The Role You will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment delivery across a wide range of operational and support functions, while also leading and developing a small team. Working closely with operational leaders and central teams, you will ensure consistent, compliant and high-quality recruitment delivery across a live infrastructure project. Key responsibilities include: * Leading and supporting a team of 3 internal recruiters * Managing the full recruitment lifecycle (advert through to offer) * Delivering high-volume and specialist hiring across multiple job families * Partnering closely with hiring managers and site-based stakeholders * Screening, interviewing and coordinating candidates through to offer * Supporting and attending assessment centres, job fairs and site recruitment activity * Managing onboarding processes, including security vetting and compliance requirements * Acting as an ATS superuser, ensuring accurate data, reporting and audit readiness * Driving improvements to recruitment processes, tools and workflows * Maintaining accurate reporting and workforce visibility Typical hiring areas include: -Security, guarding and access control -Facilities management and estates -Logistics, transport and operational support roles -Administration and project support functions -Site-based operatives and supervisory roles What We’re Looking For Essential: -Proven experience in internal recruitment / talent acquisition, ideally within high-volume or operational environments -Experience leading or supervising a team (or strong informal leadership experience) -Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment pipeline independently -Strong stakeholder management skills across operations and senior leadership -Experience working within compliance-heavy or regulated environments (e.g. construction, infrastructure, logistics, aviation, defence) -Highly organised, able to prioritise and remain calm under pressure -Strong ATS experience, with confidence operating at a superuser level -Working knowledge of UK employment law and recruitment best practice -Proactive, confident and solutions-focused approach Desirable: -Experience supporting site-based or large-scale project recruitment -Exposure to blue-collar or unionised workforces -Experience delivering assessment centres or campaign hiring Working Pattern & Site Requirements * Based across: * Hinkley Point C site (2–4 days per week) * Bridgwater office (1–2 days per week) * Home working (1 day per week, post-probation) * 9-day fortnight working pattern (every other Friday off) * Due to site requirements, you must be able to: * Pass HPC vetting (3-year employment history) * Travel to Hinckley Point via organised transport (approx. 45 minutes) Why Join? -Work on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, supporting a nationally critical programme at Hinkley Point -Step into a leadership role with real ownership, managing both delivery and team performance on a live, high-profile site -Be part of a well-established, high-performing on-site recruitment function with strong support from both operational and central teams What’s on Offer * Up to £38,000 salary + 8.65% guaranteed monthly bonus * 9-day fortnight working pattern (every other Friday off) * Travel allowance provided * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays * 5% employer pension contribution * Life assurance scheme * Company sick pay * Access to employee benefits platform (retail discounts, lifestyle savings) * Employee Assistance Programme, including access to online GP services * Structured training, development and career progression opportunities Working Pattern & Environment -Supporting Hinkley Point C on site and from an office in Bridgwater. -Hybrid approach with a mix of site, office and home working -Fast-paced, delivery-focused environment with high levels of responsibility and autonomy
