This company operates across 20+ countries and is a genuine market leader in cooling and liquid-technology systems. Due to continued growth, they’re expanding the service engineering team and are now looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer based in the Midlands.
You’ll install, service, commission and maintain specialist chillers and refrigeration systems (0.5kW–50kW), working with advanced equipment that leads the way in refrigerant technology. Expect variety, autonomy, and access to training most companies simply can’t offer.
After your initial training and bedding-in period, you can expect to spend around 2 nights per week away, fully expensed, as you support customers across the Midlands and wider UK.
What’s on Offer
* £38,000–£40,000 basic salary (DOE)
* OTE £50k–£55k with overtime
* Door-to-door paid (42 hrs/week) + OT (first 8 hrs standard, then 1.5x)

The Role
* Installation, commissioning, service and breakdown work on specialist industrial refrigeration/chiller systems
* Diagnosing and repairing issues, including F-gas leak detection, evacuation, compressor changes, valves and chilled water circuits (air & water-cooled)
* Electrical fault-finding and control-circuit troubleshooting
* Laptop-based diagnostics, reporting and communication
* Regular UK travel with nights away (typically 2–3 per week)
* Maintaining van stock & adhering to company QA and safety standards
The Person
* Experienced Refrigeration Engineer (industrial or commercial)
* F-Gas Category 1
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
* Comfortable travelling and staying away overnight
* PC-literate and confident with digital diagnostics
* Based in the Midlands (Leicester ideal)
Relevant backgrounds: Refrigeration, Industrial Electrician, HVAC, AC, F-Gas, Chillers, Electromechanical Service, Field Engineering.
