Hybrid role -
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people affected by cancer? We're looking for a proactive and personable Relationship Manager to join a small, dedicated team at a well-established Sussex-based charity that partners closely with the NHS.
You’ll play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, corporates, and grant funders to support vital services and life-enhancing projects for cancer patients across Sussex.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, research and engage new donors, patrons and funding opportunities across Sussex.

Build and maintain strong, sustainable relationships with high-net-worth supporters, trusts and corporate partners.
*
Work closely with the Marketing and Fund Manager to develop compelling cases for support and donor communications.
*
Represent the charity at local events, networking groups, and in 1:1 donor meetings and presentations.
*
Support the planning and delivery of small fundraising events and stewardship activities.
*
Use LinkedIn and network mapping to expand reach and connect with prospective donors.
About You:
✅ At least 2 years’ experience in a fundraising or donor relationship role
✅ Proven success in securing or managing high-value gifts or trust income
✅ A confident communicator and relationship builder – both written and verbal
✅ Friendly, positive and well-organised, with a hands-on attitude
✅ Comfortable representing the charity in-person and at networking events
✅ Passionate about improving cancer care and patient experience
✅ IT-literate with good knowledge of CRM systems (Beacon is a plus)Before You Apply
