Restaurant General Manager - £50,000 package with mostly daytime hours

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Restaurant General Manager near Southampton to join a busy fresh-food venue known for its weddings, private events, and quality dining experience. This is a hands-on role within a well-established business offering a supportive environment, strong team culture, and the chance to lead a thriving operation while enjoying a healthier work/life balance.

The venue is also easily commutable from Winchester, making it an excellent option for candidates looking for their next leadership role within hospitality.

£50,000 package (Salary + tronc + bonus)
Basic salary between £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
Tronc and bonus structure
Mostly daytime hours, usually 8am-5pm
Only 2-3 evenings per week supporting weddings and events
48-hour per week contract

Key Responsibilities:

As Restaurant General Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring excellent standards across both restaurant service and events.

Oversee all restaurant operations and daily service
Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team
Support weddings, functions, and private events
Maintain exceptional guest service standards
Work closely with the kitchen and events teams
Drive operational efficiency and team performance 

What we're looking for:

We're looking for a confident and experienced Restaurant General Manager with a passion for hospitality and fresh food.

Previous Restaurant Manager experience within a fresh-food or high-end environment
Experience managing weddings and events
Strong leadership and organisational skills
