Rotherwood Education are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Officer to join a welcoming secondary school in the Burnley area. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to play a key role in supporting the school’s financial operations.
The role is Full-time, ongoing until the end of the academic year and is to start as soon as possible.
About the Role
As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school’s financial processes. You’ll work closely with the wider administrative team to maintain accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing purchase orders, invoices, and payments accurately and promptly
* Managing and maintaining financial records and filing systems
* Supporting the Finance Manager and wider team with daily finance activities
* Assisting with general administrative duties as required
* Ensuring compliance with school policies and financial procedures
Essential Requirements:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Access – this is an essential requirement
* Previous experience in a finance or administrative role
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is highly desirable
