GSL are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to support students in a secondary school setting. This role involves delivering high-quality Science lessons within a modernised and well-resourced department, helping students develop strong scientific knowledge, practical skills, and critical thinking.
You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff in a school that values innovation, high standards, and continuous improvement, helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full academic and personal potential.

You will have opportunities for professional development and will support students in a range of settings, including:
Delivering engaging Science lessons across a range of topics
Supporting exam preparation and assessment readiness
Monitoring and supporting student progress through targeted feedback
Enrichment and extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, trips, and wider school events
As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with colleagues and other professionals to deliver high-quality teaching and create a positive learning environment that enables all students to succeed.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons
Inspire students through engaging practical and theoretical teaching
Prepare students for assessments and examinations
Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and wider school
Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and a passion for learning
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree-level education in a relevant subject
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (or working towards)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Commitment to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for all learners
A proactive, innovative, and collaborative approach
